Sound Therapy

“Divine sound is the cause of all manifestation. The knower of the mystery of sound knows the mystery of the whole universe.”

              ~Hazrat Inayat Khan

I have received my formal training as a sound facilitator from Woom Center, NYC’s celebrated sound school under the direction of David Shemesh, ethnomusicologist Alexandre Tannous, and Elian Zach. I further studied the principles of the Gong with Guy Beider.

A sound meditation relaxes the body, clears the subconscious, calms the mind, activates your body's natural healing systems, and helps stress and anxiety melt away. Sound has one intention, to move us from a place of imbalance to a place of balance.

Physically, sound works through the nervous system of your body, traveling through the liquid of your cells, vibrating your whole system back into a state of harmony, and also increasing the output of dopamine and serotonin. It is a simple yet powerful way to practice self-care. Afterward, you may feel refreshed, de-stressed, and rejuvenated. The effects can last for several days. Transformation, deep relaxation, pain relief, calmer emotions, and insights are common.

Private sessions can be tailored to your preference - 1 to 2 hours, or more if you’d prefer. During this time, I will utilize beautiful overtone-emitting instruments such as gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, drums, and more as an adjunctive modality to your healing process.

Private individual, group, and corporate events are available.
